Ohm's law calculation formula
Voltage V in volts (V) divided by resistance R in ohms (Ω) gets current I in amps (A):
- I = V / R
Example
- I = 60V / 20Ω = 3A
The power P in watts (W) is equal to the voltage V in volts (V) times the current I in amps (A):
- P = V × I
Example
- P = 60V × 3A = 180W
